  1. A legend in the world of Steelband, Dr. Ellie Mannette is fondly remembered for his rich, pan-music legacy to the world. It is impossible to hear the sound of pan music without thinking of how far he helped to bring this rich sound out of Trinidad and Tobago and onto the world stage. Indeed, he deserves the title, “Father of the Steelpan.”

  2. Thanks for sharing your gift of PAN to the world.
Caribbean Vibes Steelband is a micro part of your legacy. We have made Trinbago and the rest of the world proud of the invention of PAN.
    RIP, Hero..

  3. Ellie was one af a kind and the music world is much better for his contribution. I will always cherish the time I spent with him. Few men will ever have the influence he had. The pan is one of the greatest musical instrument ever and he was it’s father. Thanks friend.
