Obituary for M. Ellen Mayne M. Ellen Mayne, 87 of Bluffton, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Ellen was born on April 26, 1931 in Dunkirk, Indiana to James H. & Mildred (Shrack) Adamson. She graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1949 and worked as an administrative assistant for Mr. E.J. Schaefer at Franklin Electric in Bluffton for 40 years. Ellen was a past president of B.P.W. Club, Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, Wells County Foundation and a chairperson to the United Way Campaign. Ellen married Richard Mayne and he precedes her in death on June 18, 2004. Survivors include two sons; John R. Mayne and Thomas L. (Gloria) Mayne both of Bluffton along with 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael J. “Mike” Mayne in 2007. Per Ellen’s request, there will be no visitation or service at this time. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be given in Ellen’s memory to Visiting Nurse through the funeral home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
