Obituary for Elaine McVay (Remaley) ELAINE R. McVAY Elaine, 85, of Oakdale, North Fayette Twp., died Thursday, August 23, 2018, in Asbury Heights, Mt. Lebanon. She was born November 9, 1932, in Monessen, a daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia Nicolaus Remaley. Mrs. McVay was a homemaker. She loved gardening, swimming, art, music and dancing. Surviving are her children, James (Sonali) McVay of CA, Carrie McVay of Oakdale, Todd (Amy) McVay of Oakdale, Sheila (Late Bill) Page of Oakdale, Chris (Mary) McVay of Cranberry, Rosemary (Tal Birdsey) McVay of VT, Elizabeth McVay of Mt. Lebanon. She was the beloved grandmother of 20 and great grandmother of 7. Also surviving are her brother, Gene (Debra) Remaley of West Mifflin, sisters, Leckemby of Webster, PA, Frances Smith of Monongahela and sister-in-law, Caryll Remaley of Berwick, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. McVay (2007), her daughter, Linda Schad; and brothers, Dallas and Nick Remaley. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 5000 Noblestown Road, Oakdale (724-693-2800) where a blessing service will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1100 Liberty Ave. Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 Order Flowers
