Obituary for Eileen Wheeler (Harrison) Eileen (Harrison) Wheeler, 85, of Alton Bradford Rd., Bradford, passed away at L & M Hospital in New London surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was the wife of the late Lawrence E. Wheeler, Sr. Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Eliza Harrison. Eileen worked as a Secretary for Zanella Plumbing for many years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Canochet and the Charlestown Senior Center. She enjoyed camping and taking trips to New Hampshire. Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her three children, Lawrence Wheeler, Jr. of Ashaway, Thomas Wheeler of Bradford and Patricia J. Bumpus of Groton, CT; and two daughters-in-law, Cindy Wheeler and Malissa Wheeler. She will also be dearly missed by a sister Margaret Burns of Bradford; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Gordon Harrison. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at the Westerly Health Center for all of their wonderful care. Visiting hours are omitted. A graveside funeral service will take place at 10am on Thursday at River Bend Cemetery, 117 Beach St., Westerly.
