Edward Ellis 1927 2018

Obituary of Edward Ellis Edward Ellis, age 91, of West Mifflin, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He was born in McKeesport on March 18, 1927 and is the son of the late John and Susan Mular Ellis and the husband of the late Ann Sprentz Ellis. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from USX National Works then worked part time at Giant Eagle by Century III Mall. He was an avid hunter, a member of Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin, and a former member of the Steelworkers Local Union #1408. Edward is survived by his sons, Paul (Susan) Ellis of Streetsboro, Ohio and Gary (Charisse) Ellis of South Park Twp.; daughter, Elizabeth (Richard) Stout of W. Mifflin; grandchildren, Michael, Jocelyn and Grant Ellis, and Megan Stout. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Andrew, John, Stephen and Michael Ellis; sisters, Anna Hollis, Katherine Seeman, and Margaret Tagaloe. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, 740 Pittsburgh-McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, PA 15034, 412-678-6192. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2603 Old Elizabeth Rd., W. Mifflin, PA 15122, with Fr. Patrick Barkey officiating. Burial will follow.
