Obituary for Mr. Edward Pete Richmond Funeral services for Pete Richmond, 65, of Branson, MO, formerly of Winnsboro, LA will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Bethany Worship Center in Crowville, LA, with “Bro. Ron” Ronald Charrier officiating, burial to follow in the Ogden Cemetery, Liddeville, LA. Visitation will be from 5-9 P.M. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the church, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA. Edward “Pete” Richmond, age 65, of Branson, MO, passed away unexpectedly August 24, 2018. He entered this world November 27, 1952, in Winnsboro, LA, the son of Meloy and Hilda (Brown) Richmond. He was joined in marriage August 23, 1991, to Judy Reddick. Arrangements are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. Pete was a strong Christian man who enjoyed writing and singing gospel music. He was a member of New Life Temple in Hollister, MO and was very active in Bethany Worship Center in Crowville, LA. Pete was an avid golfer and had several holes-in-one during his play. He was a member of Holiday Hills men’s golf league. Pete was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan but had a cardinal rule for living: the Lord first, Judy second, and family third. He was a loving husband, father, “Papaw Pete,” and “Papaw Peke.” Pete is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Flo Day; sister, Diane Kanehl; sister-in-law, Sandy Richmond; nephew, David Richmond; and nephew, Joel Richmond; uncles, Ray and Robert Richmond. He is survived by his wife Judy Richmond of Branson; daughter, Mindy (Bob) Richmond- Reed of Satsuma, Florida; daughter, Angel (Derek) Richmond-Carlin of Minden, Louisiana; son, Terry Glynn (Jessica) -Weatherly Jr. of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Stephanie (Corey) Weatherly-Copes of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, James Richmond; brother, Meloy (Tressia) Richmond Jr.; sister, Sue (Billy) Richmond-Olivo; sister, Lela Richmond-Garsee; brother, Tim (Betty) Richmond; several nieces and nephews; in-laws, Ben and Christine Reddick; “brother” Kenny Martin; special and dear friend, Jamie Hagee; and his golfing buddies. Pallbearers to honor the memory of Pete are Roger Richmond, BJ Knox, Lance Knox, Dusty Barefield, Colt Powell, and Ace Eddy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Casey Kanehl, Rayburn Kanehl, Brandon Kanehl, Jamie Day, Matt Richmond, and Blake Givens.
