Obituary for Edna Lucy Dieterich Edna Lucy Dieterich, 93, entered into rest on Thursday, August 23, 2018. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Saturday, August 25, 2018, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Sunday, August 26, 2018, 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at South Park Cemetery on Monday, August 27, 2018, 11:00 AM. On May 3, 1925, Edna was born to Walter Ralph Anderson and Anna Irene Herd in Picher, Oklahoma. She had a great sense of humor and she loved to laugh. Edna would faithfully keep juicy secrets. She enjoyed sewing, crosswords, and puzzles. During dinner, Edna liked to watch the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Every time she’d see Donald Trump on TV, she would point at the screen and use her handgun gesture with her fingers to shoot him. Edna loved to grow plants, she had a green thumb in gardening. Traveling was a pleasure and joy to her, especially riding the bus. Edna really enjoyed the time she lived in Japan. Her greatest joy in life was spending time and making memories with her grandchildren, Edna adored them more than anything. Edna was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but, by all those fortunate enough to have known her. Those left to honor and cherish Edna’s memory are her sons: Joe Barron of California, Jim Barron (Nancy) of New York, and Curtis Thomas; daughters: Judy Maynard of Roswell, New Mexico, Patricia Thomas of Dallas, Texas and Jeanette Martz of New Mexico; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Edna in death were her husband, Howard Dieterich; son, Ralph Barron; parents, Walter Ralph Anderson and Anna Irene Herd Anderson; brother, Robert Anderson; and sister, Lea Sikes.
