Edith C Ion Kiser February 12 1949 August 14 2018 (age 69)

Edith C. (Ion) Kiser, 69, of Ford City, formerly of Brady’s Bend, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Kittanning to the late Wilferd and Hazel (Oliver) Ion. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a homemaker. Edith liked to play darts, crafts, and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include daughters Kim Wicklund of Wisconsin, Tina Erdley, of Pa., Hazel Kiser of Pa.; sons Kenneth Ion of Pa.; George Kiser of Fla.; grandchildren, Heath, Nadua, Hailey, Martin, Alexis, Shayla; sisters Betty Hampton of Fla., Nancy (Jim) Schairer of Va.; and brothers Don Ion of Pa., Mike Ion of Tennessee, and Bob (Vickie) Ion of Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Kiser; and brother George Ion. Friends will be received Thursday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas E. Dorula officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Brady’s Bend.
