Obituary for Donald Brunty Donald Brunty, 76, of Whitesburg passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. Donald was the son of the late John and Ivory Dean Brunty, of Branchland W.Va. Donald was also preceded in death by his first wife Francine Brunty; one daughter Barbara; and three siblings, Rose, Louis, and Tuss. Surviving are his wife, Jean Collins Brunty; two sons, Ronald Lee and Helen Brunty of Letcher and Charles Ray and Jaranda Brunty of Pikeville; one daughter, Donna Marie and Anthony Dixon of Slemp; one step daughter, Michelle ton of Jackhorn; two sisters, Nada Sanders and Jennifer Justice both of Huntington WV; four grandchildren, Cameron, McKinley, Lucas, and Dallas; and two step grandchildren, Nicholas and Beth. Service will be noon on Thursday, August 30 at Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, W.Va. Burial will follow in the Warrick Cemetery in West Virginia.
