Obituary for Dennis “Lordy” Wayne Lord On Thursday, August 30th 2018 Dennis Wayne Lord known to many as Lordy, passed away at the age of 64 , at 107 E. Second St. in Ottumwa. Dennis was born on August 17, 1954 to Joesph and Grace (Walsh) Lord in Ottumwa, Iowa. Dennis married Cindy Musgrove on July 2nd 1977. To this union they were blessed with two children, Damon and Regan. Dennis and Cindy later divorced but stayed good friends until her passing. Dennis was a laborer all his life, working various construction jobs. He was known as a friend to many and loved to joke around with everyone he came across. He had a humorous personality and loved making people laugh. He truly loved his family and spending time with them was important to him, Dennis was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. He often frequented the Tom Tom, Recovery Room, VFW, and American Legion where he made many friends that were like family to him. Dennis was guest member of Walton B. Schaffer Post #3 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #775 American Legion, both of Ottumwa. He is survived by his children: Damon Lord of Ottumwa, Regan (Ron) Klein of Ottumwa; grandchildren, Caleb, Cindy Jo, Brooklyn, Anthony, Cidney, Ryan, Blake; siblings, Barbara (John) Henry of Chisholm, MN, Tom Lord of Davenport, Gary (Tami) of Davenport, Paul (Junjun) Lord of Houston, TX, Rocky (Barbara) of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joesph and Grace, previous wife Cindy Reed, siblings Joseph Jr., Larry and Randy. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm with family present. A celebration of Dennis’s life will follow visitation at Walton B. Schaffer Post Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorials may be directed to Walton B. Schaffer Post #3 Veterans of Foreign Wars or O.B.
