Dean Dosch, 82, of Excelsior died Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Schmitt Woodland Hills. He was born on August 13, 1936 in Byrds Creek, the son of Bert and Hazel (Jimerson) Dosch. On April 8, 1961 Dean was united in marriage to Verna Santas at the Trinity Methodist Church in Richland Center. He farmed in the Blue River area for many years. Dean loved woodworking and used his talents to make a special bank to welcome new babies into the ‘family.’ Dean is survived by his wife Verna; Children: Theron (Tami) Dosch and their children, Teanna and Teagon of Milton; Arlene (Brian) Alvin and their son Tyson of Richland Center, foreign exchange student Yann of Switzerland; Dan (Lynne) Dosch and their children, Trevor and Reid of Onalaska; Richard Dosch and his daughter Dallas of Minoqua; Sister-in-law: Anita Dosch of Greeley, CO; Special friends: Byron and Joan Hillberry of Blue River; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dean was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Hazel Dosch, father and mother-in-law: Henry and Helen Santas, sister and brother-in-law, Hazel (Ralph) Wallace, brother William Dosch, sisters and brother-in-law: Iva (Stanley) Sutton, Kay Short, and niece Susan Wallace. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Pratt Community Hall from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Blue River Fire and Rescue Department, 201 W. Exchange St., Blue River, WI 53518.
