Charlotte Ann (McCorkel) Rissler, 86, of Hummelstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Middletown Home. She was born Tuesday, August 11, 1931 to the late Jacob and Mary (Snavely) McCorkel. She is predeceased by her husband John Daniel Rissler since 1968. She was a member of the Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Manheim. She was also an avid gardener who enjoyed sewing in her spare time. Charlotte had a passion for teaching children and watching them learn. She spent most of her life educating elementary age students. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Trauger and husband Michael; a son, John Rissler and wife Litti; a grandson and light of her life Shawn Rissler; and 3 brothers. She is predeceased by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. A funeral service will be held on her 87th birthday, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:30 at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with the Pleasant View Mennonite Church ministry officiating. A viewing will be held from 9AM until time of the service. Burial will follow at the Fishburn United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hershey.
