OBITUARY Charles “Charlie” Edward Klein I July 4, 1924 – August 9, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Charles “Charlie” Edward Klein I, 94, passed away at his home on August 9, 2018. Charlie was born July 4, 1924 in Metamora, Ohio to Louis and Amanda (Busch) Klein. He served in World War II, earning several medals. Upon returning from the war, he earned his Bachelor’s from MSU. He retired after many years as a Lumber Salesman with Fingerle Lumber Co. in Ann Arbor. He is loved by his wife, Marianne; children Chad (Debbie) Klein, Mark (Cheri) Klein, Suzanne (Mark) Huhta, and Maureen Proffitt; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation is planned for Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Covell Funeral Home at Covell Funeral Home in Elk Rapids. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Monday, August 13, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Veteran’s Administration.
