Obituary for Charlene Collier Funeral services for Charlene Collier, age 58, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas with Dr. Clayton Downing and Bro. Charles Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden Valley Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Charlene died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in a Tyler hospital. She was born on June 26, 1960 in Rantoul, Illinois to Jerrell Lindsey & Jeanette (Downing) Phelps and was a lifelong resident of Lindale. Charlene was the restaurant manager for Tio’s Back Porch in Winona and had previously managed The Deli restaurant in downtown Lindale. She loved cooking and had a talent for baking. Many would confirm this by telling you that she was the best pie maker in East Texas. Charlene was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Jerrell and Jeanette Phelps and grandparents, Everette and Narnie Downing. Charlene is survived by her family she loved so dearly, daughter, Carrie Jiridly of Ashburn, Virginia; son, Jake Sanders of Lindale, Texas; sister, Donna Charles of Winona, Texas; brother, Troy Phelps of Lindale, Texas; grandsons, Malek Jiridly of Ashburn, Virginia, Amir Jiridly of Ashburn, Virginia and A. J. Sanders of Whitehouse, Texas; granddaughters, Jailynn Sanders of Whitehouse, Texas and Riana Jiridly of Ashburn, Virginia; niece, Daniela Kelm of Tyler, Texas; nephews, Javier Charles of Tyler, Texas and Benjamin Charles of Winona, Texas; and by many other beloved family members and dear friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Goodman, Barry Goines, Jake Sanders, Cody Kelm, James Clayton Gallegly and Robert Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Javier Charles, Benjamin Charles and Toribio Charles. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
