Obituary for Mrs. Carrie Mae Stringer STRINGER, Mrs. Carrie Mae – Age 64, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, August 10, 2018 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with a memorial service commencing at 2:00 PM. There will be no public viewing. Carrie Mae Stringer was born March 13, 1954 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the daughter of Isabella Hargrove. She was a member of Joy Tabernacle. Carrie was employed as a Caregiver for the last 30 plus years. She moved from Mississippi and has resided in Flint, Michigan for the last 30 years. Carrie loved to play cards, spend time with her kids, grandkids and family. She also loved to laugh and talk junk, cook and could make a mean pot of greens! Carrie was the internet before the internet existed. She had a blunt sense of humor and would tell it like it is. Carrie always said “who’s right is right and who’s wrong is wrong!” She had the most beautiful smile. Carrie Mae Stringer leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Joanna (Tremaine) Stringer of Flint; 3 sons, Leo Stringer of Palm Coast, FL, Jeff (Sara) Stringer and Eric Stringer, all of Flint; grandchildren, Leo Jr., Frankie Stringer, Leo “Little Leo” Stringer Jr., Tremaine Sanders Jr., Dominique Stringer, Lexi Stringer, Vonsha Stringer of Portage, MI, Talaina Sanders, Jeffery Stringer Jr., Kevonte Stringer and Sania Johnson; great-grandson, DJ of Portage, MI; sister, Pearlie “Pearl” Stringer; 2 brothers, Leon Issac and Davis Issac; aunts, Willie Mae Waters of Memphis, TN and Earnestine (Carol) Fields; uncles, Curtis (Debra) Fields, all of Chicago, IL and Earnest (Karon) Fields of Maywood, IL; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Nisha Johnson, Nicole Johnson-Hopkins and Quinn. Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Isabella Hargrove; brothers, Louis Isaac, Johnny Smith and James Issac; and aunt, Christine Fields.
