Carol J Bassen 2018

Carol Bassen, 87, of Menominee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was born on December 3, 1930 to the late Arthur and Aurora “Aiti” Beyer. Carol was a lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She lived in the family home her entire life and enjoyed holidays, family get-togethers, her yard and traveling. She loved her family and sadly missed her husband, Leonard, of 66 years; her brothers, Roy and Clifford; sisters, Myrtle, Mildred, Ruthie and Dorothy; and her grandson, Brad. She leaves behind her son, Paul Bassen; daughter, Laura (Glenn) Johnson; granddaughter-in-law, Deanna Corry and great-grandsons, Gunnar and Finn; and grandson, Paul Bassen, Jr. and great-grandchildren, Esme, Zane and Leland. Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Menominee with the Rev. Scott Ehle officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee. She touched many lives, always caring and doing for others to make them feel special and loved. She will be truly missed.
