Obituary for Carol Nadine Sabin Carol Nadine Sabin, age 88, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Sanctuary at the Shore. She was born June 25, 1930, in Byron Center to Frank and Arletta (Dodge) Ewing, and she married Charles James Sabin on August 31, 1962 in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1991. Carol retired from the Department of Social Services in Muskegon County after 25 years of service as executive secretary. She was a member of the Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post #2326 Auxillary, and the Trail Dusters Campers Club. Her other interests were boating, dancing, and yard work. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Douglas Sabin of Grand Haven; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Mulvey, and two brothers, Warren and Duane Ewing. A celebration of life will take place from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post #2326 in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Robinson Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Hospice of North Ottawa Community are appreciated.
