Carl A Osberg 1940 2018

Life Story for Carl Osberg Carl A. Osberg, 78, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday June 24, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Health Center from complications following a heart attack. Carl was born on February 23, 1940, a son of Edward and Marian (Suffolk) Osberg in Youngstown, Ohio. He attended East Palestine High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. Carl worked for Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance as an appliance repairman for 40 years. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves for 8 years. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching NASCAR races. He loved playing cards and spending time with his family. Carl was known for always lending a helping hand and he could fix just about anything. Carl’s greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Carl will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Carol (Allen) Osberg whom he married on November 3, 1962. He also leaves his two daughters, Jodi (Bill) Bucci of Columbiana and Jan (Chris) Johnson of Canfield; his five grandchildren, Victoria, Taylor, and William Bucci and Jake and Alexis Johnson; two brothers, Richard of Hubbard and Robert (Beverly) of New Waterford and a sister, Diane Carlisle (Dallas) of New Waterford. Besides his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Bacon, brother-in-law, Edgar Bacon and sister-in-law, Pat Osberg. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima. Calling hours will be at the church one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center for their wonderful care and compassion shown to Carl and his family. In lieu of flowers, material donations may be made to Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, OH 44452 or to your favorite charity.
