Betty Lee Williams, 88, of LaCygne, Kansas, passed away Tuesday August 14, 2018, at Olathe Medical Center. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 17th at 10 :00 a.m., both will be held at Dengel and Son Louisburg chapel. Burial will be at Ruhamah cemetery, Rantoul Kansas. Betty was born March 23, 1930 in Lane Kansas. She was the daughter of Dean Kennedy and Helen Sarah (DeVore) Kennedy. She was… Read More » a graduate from Lane Kansas High school, and she was elected Valentine queen her senior year. She married Walter Edgar Williams, November 12, 1949, in Ottawa Kansas. He preceded her in death, March 16, 1992. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt. She was passionate about her family, and she always put them before herself. Her greatest joys were sewing and embroidering gifts for her family. She is survived by her son, Walter D. Williams, LaCygne, KS; three daughters; Rebecca Marsh, LaCygne, KS; Roberta Worthington, Bucyrus, KS and Connie Raney, LaCygne, KS; a sister, Ramona Bench, Guthrie, OK, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Make a Wish Foundation in the memory of Betty Williams.
