Bernadette D Bunny Garges 1944 2018

Obituary of Bernadette Garges Bernadette D. “Bunny” Garges, age 74 of Dravosburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2018. She was born in McKeesport on January 20, 1944, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Hodermarsky Dougherty. She was a life-long member of the former St. Peter’s Church, McKeesport and the St. Peter’s class of 1961. Bernadette is survived by her daughter Katherine (Christopher) Shingler of Highland Park, grandchildren; Hailey and Luke, and sisters; Carol (the late George) Joseph and Mary (the late Roy) Saxon, both of McKeesport. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Dougherty. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Service, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177), where service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 9:30 am with Pastor Ross Owens officiating. Burial will follow. Remembrances in Bernadette’s name can be made to Vincentian De Marillac, 5300 Stanton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Condolences may be made at www.strifflerfuneralhomes.com.
