Obituary of Barbara Cole Barbara Oliver Cole, 86, of Andes, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Delhi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on July 18, 1932 in Margaretville, the daughter of the late Claude and Hazel (Gladstone Liddle) Oliver. A life time resident of Andes. She married Floyd Robert “Bob” Cole on May 22, 1955 in Andes. Bob passed away on March 31, 2015. Barb and Bob raised a family on their dairy farm in Andes. She also worked at the Andes Hotel. She was an avid reader. She loved walking the hill everyday and in the summer she enjoyed swimming in the pond. She enjoyed collecting antiques and especially bird nests from her walks on the hill. Barb was proud of her family; she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Barb is survived by her children: Holly and Heinz Bernecker of Delhi, Wendy and George Redden of Andes, David and Row Cole of Laguna Hills, CA and Donald and Christy Cole of Hobart; grandchildren: Patrick Noonan, Carlye Deysenroth, Brent Cole, Troy Cole, Breanne Topper, Dylan Cole and Berkley Cole. Barb has six great-grandchildren: Weston, Sophie, Conner, Hollene, Juniper and Felix; a brother: Turk and Shirley Oliver of Oregon; sister-in-law: Juanita Collins of Fort Ann and several nieces and nephews. At Barb’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service, there will be a private memorial at a later date. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.macarthurfh.com
