Ashley Reid Bunting, loving mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2018 at her home in Tustin California. Ashley was born on January 21, 1980 in Provo, Utah to Kevin and Shelley (Lundell) Reid. Ashley is the mother of two beautiful children, Madison (10) and Cayson (7), who love and adore her and will miss her beyond what words can describe. Ashley married Joseph Bunting in May of 2001 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. They were divorced, yet remained friends and committed to the welfare and happiness of Maddie and Cayson as they grow up. Ashley graduated from Mountain View High School in the class of 1998 with high honors. While at MVHS she was a member of the National Honors Society, student government, played on the girls softball team and performed with the drill team. After graduation she continued on with a scholarship at Dixie College, then to Utah Valley University where she earned a degree as a registered nurse. She truly spent her life serving others through her medical skills, it was her passion. Ashley loved her medical work as a labor and delivery nurse at Hogue Hospital in Newport Beach and later in a surgical center where her medical responsibilities were expanded. Her nursing skills were only surpassed by her love and care for her patients. People loved to be around Ashley because of her quick wit, contagious laugh and fun personality. She was an amazing story teller and she always had a funny story to share. At the same time she could make the most delicious desserts along with any craft imaginable. With her family she traveled to many places and made wonderful memories with dear friends that served as a foundation for her inquiring and inquisitive mind. She loved to read books, try new recipies, take pictures, ride bikes at the beach and come home for Christmas. She will truly be missed. She is survived by her two sweet children, Madison Briley and Cayson Joseph Bunting. Ashley was also blessed to grow up with three brothers and one sister, Christopher (Jeni), Bradley (Dan), Dustin (Joelle) and Erin. Her grandparents are James E. and Lee Reid of Orem Utah, and Roy W. and Carol H Lundell of Spanish Fork Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A celebration of Ashley’s life will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Orem Park Eighth Ward Chapel,114 South 400 West, Orem, Utah where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
