July 31, 2018, Arnold (Arnie) Daniels of Woodland, passed from this life to a new one in Heaven. Born March 23, 1931, to Lewis and Edna (Decker) Daniels. Graduating from Woodland H.S. in 1949. In 1950 Arnie married the love of his life, Beverly Stair. They were together until her passing in 2010. Also proceeding him in death, his parents, brother, Galen Daniels, sisters, Maxine Dipp, and Kathleen Waters, Sisters-in-law Shirley Herbstreith, Betty Shepard, Wilma Daniels. Brothers-in-law Bill Dipp, Bud Waters, Glendon Pierson, Jack Stair, Forrest (Bud) Stair. Mother & Father-in-law, Leona (Francisco) Stair and Elmer Collins. Nephews, David & Duane Daniels, Jack, David and Scott Stair. Niece, Paula (Stair) Vroman. Everyone described Arnie as a sweet, humble, funny, talented, gentleman. His quick-wit and sense of humor never wavered, nor did his concern for the comfort and well-being of those around him, including his last day. He was a Tool and Die Engineer by trade, however, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He was an exceptional artist also. Companies worked at included, EW. Bliss, Hoover A.E., and Everett Engineering. This past year Arnie resided at The Cottages of Thornapple Manor. The care and compassion of the staff at The Cottages was truly a gift to him and his family and they will be forever grateful. Arnie is survived by his daughter Penny (Ken) Hummel. Granddaughters, Heather (Eric) VanValkenburg, Anna (Larry) Johnson, Grandson Royce (Sunrae) Hummel. Great Grandchildren Brooke, Haley, Taylor VanValkenburg, Alexis Johnson, Dustin (Brooklynn) Johnson, Jazlyn and Kiana Hummel. Great Great Grandson, Emmitt Johnson and a Great Great Granddaughter on the way. Sister, Eileen (Daniels) Pierson. Several nieces and nephews. Arnie’s greatest source of joy was his family, he often said he was blessed because of them. A celebration of Arnold’s life will be held on Sunday August 5, 2018 at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa at 2pm with the family receiving friends from 1pm until 2pm.
