Anna Hawthorne age 85 of Maumee passed away on August 29, 2018 in Hospice of North West Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born in Taufkirchen, Austria on April 9, 1933, to Johann and Maria Grömmer (Pichler). She served in the Diplomatic Service for the Austrian Ambassador for Germany during the Korean Conflict where she met and married her first husband John D. Larkin until his death in November 1969 and married again in 1977 to Gerald W. Hawthorne. She obtained her US citizenship under Bill… Read More » Clinton in 1993. She worked for Gladieux Banquet and Catering, DeVilbiss, and General Mills from which she retired in 1998. Anna was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed being with her family, especially with the grandchildren and great grand-children. She is preceded in death by her first husband John D. Larkin and second husband Gerald W. Hawthorne, by her parents Johann and Maria Grömmer and brother and sisters, Johann Grömmer, Frieda Csapo, Hilda Stöckl, Kathariana Aigner, Pauline Nutz, Irmagard Biergedder, Martha Reisinger, and Cäcilia Lasc. She is survived by her daughter Inge (Jeff) Klopping, sons John (Connie) Larkin, George Larkin, step son Ray (Kathy) Hawthorne, brother Alios Grömmer, grandchildren Danielle (Matt) Sprague, Dustin Klopping, Brandon (Elizabeth) Larkin, Georgianne (Aaron) Roberts, Tiffany Ann Miller, Jeremy (Jill) Hawthorne, Jamie (Carlos) Ruiz and James (Joreen) Hensley and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services and interment will be private. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of NW Ohio, 30000 East River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551, Peace Lutheran Church, 1021 W.
