Ann Mary Lupian Novak 1929 2018

Obituary for Ann Lupian (Novak) Latham – Ann Mary Lupian, 89, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2018 at the St. Peter’s Hospice Inn. Born in Troy on July 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Novak, who immigrated to the U.S. from Poland and Hungary. Ann grew up in Watervliet alongside her two siblings. She remained in the area her entire life, working at Tek Hughes, Tobin Packing, and before retirement, at Shaker Junior High as one of their beloved lunch ladies. When not at work, Ann enjoyed tending to her garden, playing POGO games, dancing, taking trips to the ocean, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even her great-great-grandchildren later in life. While these things brought her much joy, nothing made Ann happier than her late husband, Edward Lupian, Sr., who passed away in 2014. Together they shared 66 years of blissful marriage, establishing the roots that allowed their family to grow into what it is today. Ann was also a devout catholic and devoted parishioner of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Watervliet, and St. Ambrose Church in Latham. Ann is survived by her three children; Shelley Bagnardi of Latham, Edward (Susan) Lupian, Jr. of Rensselaer, and Michael (Debra) Lupian, of Latham, her 13 grandchildren; Larry, Kimberly, Chad, Mandi, Jeffrey, Patricia, Bryan, Elizabeth, Tara, Jessica, Michael, Katie, and Hannah, and by 21 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward, her parents, and her siblings, Mary Kawola and Edward Novak. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Ambrose Church, Latham. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday from 2 until 5 at Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, Watervliet.
