Obituary for Allen L. Schwarzkopf This is the story of Allen Lawrence Schwarzkopf. Allen was an honorable man that was loved, will be missed, and will always be cherished. Allen was called Poo De Doo or Big Al by Teter, Opa by Jace and Jenjer and numerous names by everyone else. His story starts on December 3, 1944. He was the oldest child of the late, Jack and Agnes Schwarzkopf. He was born in Seguin, Texas. He went to St. James Catholic School and graduated from Seguin High School. He attended Southwest Texas State University. He had lifelong friends from his schooling in Seguin and college that he truly loved and continued his friendships with. Allen met Teter during her senior year at a Ray Price dance. They had a whirlwind romance and were married on May 3, 1969. Allen and Teter spent many hard working years together between the farms in Seguin, on Burshard Road and on Gardner Road. In November 1969, Allen and Teter’s daughter, Jan, was born. And in June 1971, their late son, Braden was born. Allen had remodeled many downtown buildings in San Antonio and he also worked many years as an estimator in Seguin. He built their home, did a ton of welding, but mostly enjoyed working with his cattle and driving a tractor. Allen was known for his tall tales, hilarious jokes, and loved agitating Teter on an everyday basis. Allen’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. Time spent with Opa was very special. Loved ones that will miss Allen are Teter Schwarzkopf his wife; his daughter and son in law, Jan and Doug Morrish; grandchildren Jace Freeman and Jenjer Freeman; and his sister Carole Tessmann. His story will continue because we will see Allen again. Visitation for Allen will be on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, from 5-9pm.
