Obituary for Alexander S. “Alex” Castellese Alexander S. “Alex” Castellese, 77 years, of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. Born December 16, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan Alex was the son of the late Salvatore and Louise (Diulio) Castellese. Alex attended St. Joseph Elementary School and was a 1958 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central High School. He went on to attend Ferris State University. Alex served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Alex was married to Fran Barron, Barbara Kloshen and Bonnie Brennan, all of whom preceded him in death. Alex was employed by Jeep Corporation in Toledo for 33 years. He retired in 1993 as Personnel Director. Alex was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, Michigan. He was a member of Dundee Golf Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, traveling, and spending time at the beach. Alex made friends wherever he traveled. Most of all Alex loved time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. Alex is survived by his loving daughter and son in law; Cory L. (Timothy) Lambert of Sylvania, OH, four cherished grandchildren; Devon, Dakota, Peyton, and Darian, and two sisters; JoAnn Evans of Monroe and Alice (Kenneth) Jennings of Largo, FL. In addition to his parents, Alex was preceded in death by his son; Sam and a sister; Nickie Billmaier. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. Monroe, MI, 48161, where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
