Alberta R Kline Rathbun November 18 1932 August 20 2018 (age 85)

Alberta Rathbun, age 85 of Clyde, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Willows of Bellevue. She was born November 18, 1932 the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Custer) Kline. Alberta married the late Thomas Rathbun on January 14, 1956 in Clyde. Alberta graduated from Clyde High School in 1950. She later joined the United States Marine Corps. and worked at the Pentagon. Following her service as a Marine she worked at the Clyde Enterprise, Bureau of Support in Sandusky County, and as the Sandusky County Clerk of Courts from 1972 until 1992. Alberta is survived by her three sons: Mark (Julie) Rathbun of Clyde, David (Linda) Rathbun of Monroeville, and Thomas (Mary) Rathbun of Clyde; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Alberta is preceded in death by her sisters: Charlotte Weirick and LaCartha Stephens. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 609 Vine St., Clyde, OH 43410. Burial and military honors will follow at Bakertown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Alberta’s honor to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, or the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, 6629 West Central Avenue Suite 1, Toledo, OH 43617-1098.
