William E Flournoy December 12 1925 June 1 2018 (age 92)

William “Bill” E. Flournoy Sr., 92, of Paducah passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Flournoy was retired from Terminix and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting. Surviving are his five children, Debbie Gibbs Lawson of Paducah, Barbara Ann Flournoy of Mayfield, John (Debbie) Gibbs of Paducah, Betty (Brian) Sayner of Paducah, William Jr. (Jennifer) Flournoy of Paducah; eight grandchildren, Kevin (Jill) Herndon, Chasity Gibbs, Mandy Flournoy, Corey Herndon, Wesley Gibbs, Gerren Lawson, Hank Flournoy, and Evan Sayner; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Della “Liz” Flournoy; two sisters, Earline Courtney Pitts and Rozella Young. His parents were Garton Flournoy and Ora Atherton Flournoy. Graveside service will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with the Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Alzheimer’s Association of America.
