Willa M. Boerger, 83, of Beatrice died at the Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center on Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born July 3, 1934 at Tate, NE and graduated from Lewiston High School. She married Charles Richards and they later divorced. She married Leo M. Boerger on December 19, 1975 at Beatrice. She worked in the bakery at B.S.D.C. for 35 years. Survivors include one sister,… Read More » Alene Bensch; son-in-law, Robert Shockey; five grandchildren, Renee Oestreich, Elaine Richards, Glen Richards, Danna Johansen, and Mellesa Witmer; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Evelyn Louise Stiener Gyhra; her husband Leo, who died February 13, 2000; two sons, Duane Richards and Ronald Richards; one daughter, Phyllis Shockey; one grandson, Ralph Shockey; one great-grandson, Caleb Johansen; one sister, Roma Christiansen; one brother, Donald Gyhra; two infant siblings, Kenneth and Doris. Memorial services will be held at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2018 with Lieutenants Joseph and Rachel Irvin officiating. Inurnment of the cremains will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice. A guestbook for signatures will be available at Fox Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M.
