Wendy Smith Buonodono age 62, of Okemos, MI, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018, at Ingham County Medical Care Center, Lansing, MI. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Dan Skirvin officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. Wendy was born in Lansing, MI on July 26, 1955, the daughter of Stuart and Arlene (Conley) Smith. Wendy graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 1974. She received a BA in Interior Design from MSU in 1978 and a Masters of Divinity at Rhema Bible College in 2001. Wendy married Anthony John Buonodono on June 9, 1978, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, East Lansing, MI. Together she and Tony were ministers in the Pentecostal churches in the Austin, TX area. Wendy was an interior designer for over 20 years. Wendy is survived by her mother Arlene Smith, her husband Tony Buonodono, daughter Marla Buonodono, sister Cindy (Mike) Wright, and brother Jeff (Lisa) Smith. Wendy was preceded in death by her father Stuart Smith, and brother Barry Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wendy’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2111 University Park Drive, Okemos, MI 48864.
