Obituary for Wendy Elizabeth Hartung Wendy Elizabeth Hartung Wingate, NC Wendy Hartung, 74, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Atrium Health Main Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was born in Harrisburg, PA to the late Robert and Margaret Barbor on October 8, 1943. Wendy is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, Robert Hartung. Wendy is survived by her son, Christopher Hartung and his wife, Christine; grandchildren, Delani, Rebecca, and Nathan; her siblings, Robin, Betsy, and Reid; and her beloved friend, Bill Alexander. Wendy was an active member of Love Baptist Church in Monroe, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Union County.
