Obituary for Mr. Wendell Shane Redd Wendell “Shane” Redd, 42 of Plantersville passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at his home. A memorial service celebrating his life is planned for a later date. Shane was born in Houston on September 23, 1975 to Wendell F. and Pam (Walls) Redd. He gained his master plumber certification and worked for the family plumbing business. Shane was a gentle, soft spoken man who placed his family first. He was introduced to SCUBA diving many years ago and that passion led him to become Dive Master certified and explore the underwater wonders of the coral reefs in Mexico, Central America and Grand Cayman. Shane also proudly gave of his time as a First Responder and volunteer firefighter for the Plantersville Volunteer Fire Department. He loved the Houston Astros and building things, particularly for his family. He enjoyed roadtrips, and his most cherished memories were of trips taken with his mom to Las Vegas and Colorado. Left to cherish his memory are his parents; wife Tanya Redd; daughter Alexandria Redd; stepchildren Tayler Laflash, Cheyenne Laflash, Kevin and Ashley Laflash and Andrew Laflash; sister Patricia Redd and grandson Sebatian Laflash.
