Obituary for Vincent J McGee Sr. Vince quietly passed on Saturday, June 2 in his home surrounded by the love of his children and family. Vince has left a legacy of kindness, generosity, patience and strength but most importantly love. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Sondra (Lucas) McGee and his grandson Travis Vincent McGee. He will lovingly be remembered by his 5 children Sondra, Vincent (Laurie), Michael (Jessica), David (Judy) and Dawn (Ed). Vincent will also fondly be remembered by his grandchildren Derek, Amanda, Samantha, Sunny, Jessica, Samantha, Allison, Michael, Amber and April and his 9 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister Marge McGee and his brother Joseph (Bunny) McGee along with his brother in law Butch (Mary) Lucas as well as many nieces and nephews. Vince was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Levittown, Pa. He later moved to Burlington with his wife to raise their growing family. Vince spent his career as an automobile mechanic. He liked to work on cars and took pride in his job. He could always be found tinkering in his garage, chopping his firewood or just enjoying the breeze sitting on his back porch. He was an avid fisherman who was content on his boat whether the fish were biting or not. Many memories were made on the beach of Strathmere with his wife, children, grandchildren, sister and other family members. Vince loved many things but the most important things in his life were God and his family. May the love we shared here on earth sustain us until we hold you again in heaven. Family and friends are invited to Vince’s viewing and funeral mass. Viewing will be held from 8:30-10am, Saturday June 9, 2018 at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington, NJ 08016. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Saturday in St. Paul R.C. Church, E. Union St., Burlington. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington.
