Vickie L. Sumner age 66, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at her home. She was a loved and smiling presence at Regions Bank on Washington Pike for many years. Vickie had a “motherly love” towards all who knew her and she never met a stranger. Preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Leola Kennard; husband, Larry Sumner; son, Nathaniel E. Sumner; son-in-law, Donald Nard Gibson; sister, Debbie Kunkel. Survivors: son, Christopher Ryan Pierce; daughter, Crystal Gibson; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin L. and Ashley Sumner; beloved grandchildren, Preston and Macy Gibson, Brendan and Jackson Pierce and Kyle Leisenring, Jr., Gavin and Lainey Sumner; sister, Leah Collins; brothers, Danny Roush and Steven Kennard; sister, Chris Kingston; Her Prince, Lt. Col. Jeffrey Parker; numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regions Bank, 5005 Washington Pike, Knoxville, TN 37917. Vickie’s memorial service will be Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the home of Jeff Parker, 4508 Marshall Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918.
