Verdie Joseph Bridges, 98, passed away Saturday June 16, 2018 at St Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Born in Elk Valley, Tennessee on January 7, 1920, Verdie worked as a Licensed Pest Control Operator and was the sole proprietor of Kentucky Exterminators in Covington. He was also a WWII Veteran, serving in Europe with the 7th US Army’s 638th Medical Collecting Company. Bridges (Ann) of Union, grandchildren Kim Burdine (Bob) of Taylor Mill, Kelley Becker (Jarrod) of Erlanger, January Marie Bridges of Walton, James Bridges (Lauren) of Kenosha, WI and Justin Bridges (Megan) of Ft. Thomas, great grandchildren Hannah, Jared, Jake, Thad and Sam, and great great grandchild Clara. He was the last surviving member of a family of 15 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 20, 2018 from 10am to 1pm with funeral services to follow at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger.
