Thomas Edward Hanson was born on June 13, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to Edward L. and Nathalie (Barnett) Hanson. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on June 13, 2018. He and Gail (Chase) were united in marriage at the Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD on April 27, 1963. Survivors include: his wife Gail in Norman, OK; daughter Susanne M. Carrano and her husband Bill of Pembroke Pines, FL; son T. David and wife Karla Hanson, granddaughter… Read More » Megan B. and grandson T. Conner Hanson of Norman; son Michael E. Hanson of Denver, CO; sister Sr. Marie’-Jacqueline of Tyringham, MA; and sister Joan (Hanson) and husband Arthur Zeizel of Bethesda, MD. Tom was truly a people person. His professional experiences were primarily in the Human Resources area at the General Motors Corporation in Baltimore, MD and later in Oklahoma City when the GM plant opened. He continued his HR career later at Texas International Company of Oklahoma City and Totco Solids Control and York International Corporation in Norman. He retired from the Arvin Replacement Products Company in 2006. Tom and his family are founding members of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman. Prior to that, Tom was active at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be made to the Center of Family Love in Okarche (635 W Texas Ave, Okarche, OK 73762; 405.263.4658; centeroffamilylove.org).
