Theodore Lynn Stewart 2018

Theodore Lynn Stewart continued his eternal journey on June 15th, 2018. Lynn was born May 5, 1928, to Mable Richards and Willie Helaman Stewart. He was a brother to Gale S. Knight, Boyd H. Stewart, and June S. Spackman (all deceased). He was the beloved husband of Laura Gai Clark Stewart and an amazing father to Suzanne and Neil Dixon, Stephen and Anita Stewart, Scott and Natalie Stewart, Mark Stewart, and David and Patty Stewart. He was loved by sixteen grandchildren and thirty-nine great… Read More » grandchildren. All of them will miss his special love and attention. Many former middle school students will remember him teaching them how to write checks, create stock market projects, type, and understand and appreciate social studies. In addition to teaching, Lynn truly enjoyed every aspect of farming: raising cattle, plowing, cutting and hauling hay, and watering. Planting seeds and watching as the crops grew and matured was one of his favorite experiences. He enjoyed just walking around and looking out over his fields. Being a good citizen and contributing to the community was important to Lynn. He served for two terms on the North Logan City Council and also served on the Cache County Council. Lynn’s reverence, joy, and gratitude for nature was unusual. Great joy and gratitude was experienced by him while riding horses with his sons in the mountains, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, motor biking, having picnics, and camping with his family. He loved and appreciated the beautiful world around him every day and in every season. In the last few years he cherished just riding in the car with his wife around his beloved Cache Valley. Lynn was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings including a two-and-a-half year mission to Mexico, a mission with his wife to Laredo, Texas, and twelve years at the recommend desk in the Logan Temple. Appreciation and thanks is given to Lynn’s special caregivers: Dr. Mark Huffman, Olga Romero, the staff at Maple Springs, CNS nurse Amanda Fisher and Mike ¬Nelson.
