Obituary for Stephen Wilkens Stephen A. Wilkens 67 of Reeders, Pa. died on June 25, 2018. He was the loving husband of Patricia M. (Lawson) Wilkens. He was born in Englewood, N.J. the son of Walter and Henrietta (Frank) Wilkens. Stephen was a resident of the Reeders area for the past 35 years and prior to that he resided in the Mt. Pocono area for 9 years. Stephen was first employed at the former Banner Metals Company of Stroudsburg, Pa. as a maintenance mechanic for 19 years and then became Manager of the Mt. Pocono Municipal Airport for 3 years and then finally was a concrete truck driver for the Koller Concrete Company of Bethlehem, Pa. until his retirement. Stephen was a navy veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife Pat he is survived by a son Michael W. Wilkens of Indian Springs, NV. and a daughter Roxanne Wilkens-Penny stationed in the U.S. Airforce at Grand Forks, N.D., a granddaughter Cassy Colleen Penny, a brother Thomas Wilkens and his wife Aleta of Ohio and a sister Carol A. Sanogorski of Kansas. Memorial services will be private with a date and time to be announced by the family. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.
