Samuel Alvin Barr Sr November 14 1938 June 19 2018 (age 79)

Samuel Alvin Barr, Sr., age 79, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born November 14, 1938 in Cumberland, PA in Greene County, he was the son of the late Samuel Shields and Alma Emma Griffith Barr. He was a tire repair man at local truck stops. He was an US Army Veteran who proudly served our country from October 1961 to October 1964. He is survived by his wife Robin Ann Fink Barr, whom he married October 16, 1976; his children Shannon Barr of Fenelton, Samuel Alvin Barr, Jr of Lyndora; his grandchildren Guyd Michael Baptist of Butler and Connor Shields Baptist of Fenelton; his brother David E. Barr of Copperas Cove, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews; In Laws Ralph (Clair) Fink, Jr, James (Linda) Fink, and Kathy Burr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings and in laws Frank Barr, Alice Ann Barr, Donald and Nellie Shaffer, and George Burr, Sr.
