Ruth Louise Van Avery 1964 2018

Obituary of Ruth Van Avery Ruth Louise Van Avery, age 53 of South Jacksonville, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1964 in La Mirada, California, the daughter of Robert L. and Judith Ann Justice McCollum, and they survive in New Braunfels, Texas. She married Joyce Marie Kesinger Long on November 5, 2005 in Iowa, and she survives. Also surviving are her sons, Gary Van Avery, Glenn Van Avery, and Nickolaus Bermal, all of Jacksonville, and daughters, Chantelle Hazelwood of Roodhouse, Heather Long of Hutto, Texas, and Diedra Hicks of White Hall, along with nine grandchildren. Ruth had worked in Kansas City as a child advocate for a number of years. She enjoyed babysitting with her grandchildren, and was a proud supporter of Autism awareness. Ruth was a generous person who always looked after the needs of others, and was very spiritually driven. There will be a Celebration of Ruth’s Life at the home of Chantelle Hazelwood in Roodhouse for family and friends today, June 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. You may contact a family member for the address.
