Ruth Marie Hamilton, 69, of Litchfield passed away on Mon., June 11, 2018 in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born on Mar. 21, 1949 in Litchfield, a daughter of James and Ruth Louise (Sauter) Hamilton, Jr. Ruth was a housekeeper for Care Inn Convalescent Center in Litchfield. She enjoyed attending day trips, crafts, and making blankets. Surviving are: 2 sons, Lloyd Perkins of Chester; Roger Perkins of Lawrenceville 1 daughter, Ruth Louise “Lou” Webb of Litchfield Companion Michael Gipson of Gillespie 1 brother, James (Peggy) Hamilton, III of Litchfield 2 sisters, Penny (Clifford) Hughes of Gillespie; Diane Ogden of Litchfield 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; 1 son Gary D. Hicks. Memorial services for Ruth will be held at a later date. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
