Russell D. Stephens, 80, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Fountain Run, KY native was a farmer and retired employee of Johnson Lumber Company. He was a son of the late Jimmy D. Stephens and Clara Velma Russell Stephens. He is survived by 5 sons: David R. Stephens and wife, Tonya; Robert Stephens, Stacy L. Stephens and Michael Holland, all of Scottsville, KY; Jeffery Dee Stephens, PA; 2 brothers: J. D. Stephens and wife, Judy, Mt. Washington, KY and Rex Stephens and wife, Vanessa, Holland, KY; 2 sisters: Virginia Crowe and husband, Norman, Fern Creek, KY and Linda Gass Vibbert, Fountain Run, KY; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Bobby Stephens and 1 sister: Juanita Shipley. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Fisher officiating and burial in Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. t0 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 8:00 a.m. Sunday until funeral time.
