Ruby Nell Mullican 1941 2018

Obituary of Ruby Mullican Services for Ruby Nell Mullican, 77, of Arp, will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 4, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery. Mrs. Mullican passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Overton. She was born February 6, 1941 in Cushing to the late Hollis and Marguerite Johnson Birdwell. She moved to Arp in 1960 and married Joe Lee Mullican March 17, 1962 in Arp and was a homemaker. She loved working in her yard, watching the birds, and watching her grandchildren. She was a member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church. Besides her parents, Mrs Mullican was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lee Mullican, January 21, 2013, and two brothers, Freddie Gene Birdwell and Jerry Birdwell. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joel Keith and Kristina Mullican, Troup; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Tim Hamilton, Arp; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Smelley of Arp, and Kay and Glen Sampson of Overton; four grandchildren and a grandson-in-law, Dustin Hamilton, Lindsey and Thomas Moore, Harley Guerra, and Evynn Mullican; three great grandchildren, Eli, Joley, and Landon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice, 7925 S. Broadway Ave #1140, Tyler, TX 75703 or Overton Healthcare, 1110 S. Commerce, Overton, Texas 75684.
