Ruby Gray Jones, age 95, of Princeton, KY, passed Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Princeton Health & Rehab. Ruby worked for the City of Princeton for five years, as a Bookkeeper for First Bank & Trust for thirty-six years and was a member of First Baptist Church where she was an assistant Sunday School teacher and treasurer of her mission group. She served on Princeton City Council, was a Director for the Princeton Electric Plant Board, served on the Morgan Family Foundation, was a… Read More » member of Downtown Homemakers Club, Rotary Club, Business and Professional Women’s Club, and volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, cross-stitching, playing cards, watching UK basketball, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Meadows and husband, Dennis, of St. Louis, MO, Pepper Boehmann and husband, Tom, of Owensboro, Charlotte Hopper of Princeton; four grandchildren, Nancy Gerstner, Matthew Peek and wife, Sandy, Charity Alexander and husband, Barry, Megan Reese and husband, J.P.; seven great-grandchildren, Justin Peek, Hunter Peek, Steven Gerstner, Samantha Gerstner, Luke Alexander, Libby Alexander, Parker Reese; and one great-great-grandchild, George Gerstner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pepper Jones; parents, William Oscar and Charlotte Belle “Lottie” Marquess Gray; one sister, Mary Hazel Gibson; five brothers, Harold, Paul, Wylie and Gayle Gray, Earle Marquess; and one son-in-law, Robert Hopper. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Tichenor officiating and Bro. Russ Davidson assisting and burial to follow in Millwood Cemetery in Caldwell County. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Morgan’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
