Obituary of Roy Riley Memorial services for Roy Glen Riley, 79, of Arp will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Doctor Ron Klingsick and Reverend Elton Lawson officiating. Arrangements are under the directionof Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home of Overton. Mr. Riley passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at his residence in Arp. He was born August 12, 1938 in Throckmorton to the late Leroy and Amy Morrison Riley. He is a veteran of the US Airforce and married Leetta Jean Shields December 1, 1967 in Dekalb, Texas. He received a degree in theology and was a missionary in Mexico since 1980. He moved to Arp 28 years ago from Mexico and was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Temple and co-member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church. Besides his parents, Mr. Riley was also preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony Riley and Eric Riley. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Leetta Riley of Arp; four sons and their spouses, Roy Lee and Karen Riley of Texarkana, John Paul and Yeavette Riley of Nash, Andrew Newel and Stephen Nevett of Seattle, Washington, and Peter Morrison and Jessica Riley of Tyler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine Diane and Wade McKin of Sulphur Springs, and Melissa Joy and Jimmy Roberts of Texarkana; a sister Sandra Galow of Aurora, Colorado; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
