Robert N. Rippy, 83, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in his home. Robert was born October 28, 1934 in Plymouth, Indiana to Basil and Earlene (Cline) Rippy. On October 18, 1952, Robert married Liela Heath who survives. Robert was the founder of RIPCO and had also been employed with Dr. Peter Kesling for 27 years. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church, Boyd Blvd. in LaPorte where he was a former Sunday School Superintendent and played the Mandolin for 40 years. Robert is survived by his wife Liela of 65 years; a daughter, Debra (Mike) Fara of La Porte; sons, Christopher (Marjorie) Rippy, of Nashville, Tennessee, and James Rippy of Peru, Indiana; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Sue Mitchell of Plymouth, Indiana; and a brother, Bill (Shirley) Rippy of Tifton, Georgia. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at the First Pentecostal Church, 1930 Boyd Blvd, La Porte, Indiana 46350. Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte, Indiana is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Pentecostal Church.
