Obituary for Rev. Kenneth Griffith A Celebration of the Life of Rev. Kenneth Griffith, 74, of Alexander City, will be Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at New Elkahatchee Baptist Church. Rev. Bennie Lee Yates and Rev. Turk Holt will officiate. Rev. Griffith passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Russell Medical. He was born on July 15, 1943 in Moselle, Mississippi to Earl Griffith and Mary Estell Lizenby Griffith. Brother Ken was the Pastor of New Elkahatchee Baptist Church and had served in the ministry for 38 years. He served several churches in this area. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his chickens. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Griffith of Alexander City; daughter, Melissa “Missy” Thornton (Anthony) of Rockford; grandchildren, Kendra Turner (Jesse) of Alexander City and Patric Jordan (Ashton Williams) of Rockford; great-grandchild, Jet Turner; and sister, Earlene Patterson of Moselle, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Herbert Lee Griffith.
