Ralph Kenneth Baker Sr., 91, of Derry died Sunday June 17, 2018 at Excela Latrobe Hospital. He was born March 14, 1927 in Tunnelton, a son of the late Roy and Florence Dwyer Baker. Kenny was a USArmy veteran. For many years he was a driver for Ross Refuse and Smith Bus Co. He is survived by his loving wife Janice “Cookie” Baker, a son Ralph K. Baker Jr. (Vonnie) of New Alexandria, a daughter Julia Jones (Clyde) of Bradenville, a step daughter Darla Hauser (Brad) of Decatur, AL and a step son Harry “Butch” Custer (Marykay) of Latrobe. Three brothers; Rodney Baker of Homer City, John Baker (Rose) of New Kensington and James Baker (Eleanor) of New Alexandria. Five grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted at 10:30am Thursday. Interment will follow in the Coles Cemetery. The Latrobe-Derry Veterans Honor Guard will conduct a service Thursday at 10:15am. Online condolences may be made to www.mccabefuneralhomespa.com.
