Obituary for Pilar Flores Pilar F. Flores, age 97 of Goliad passed away on Thursday, June 14th in Goliad. Mrs. Flores was born on October 12, 1920 in Goliad to Inosecio & Matlide (Guerrero) Flores. She was united in matrimony to Melton Flores, Sr., and became a housewife. She was also a devout Catholic and enjoyed cooking and quilting and was also a seamstress. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and children; Francis Flores, Margarita M. Aleman, Lupe Ramon Flores, Juan Flores and Julie Alcala. Survivors include her children; Melton (Ramona) Flores, Jr., Mary (Rene) Rubio, San Juanita Baladez, and Luis A. (Janie) Flores, 29 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Grace Funeral Home in Goliad on Sunday, June 17th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goliad on Monday, June 18th at 3:00 p.m. with the Very Reverend Charles Otsiwah, officiating.
